Testimonials
“Jeff Miguel is a wonderful saxophone instructor! He took the time to sit down with me and figure out what I wanted to strengthen in my playing and patiently helped me clear hurtles and break though frustrating barriers. He is extremely knowledgeable about jazz theory, jazz composition, and is an excellent, excellent player. If you get the opportunity to study with him I highly recommend it.
I would not have been able to successfully audition into graduate school if it weren’t for his insightful instruction. I can improvise and express myself more proficiently now due to his organized approach to instruction and found his assignments to be both challenging and rewarding! Again, I highly recommend him for lessons and am sure you will have an excellent experience just like I did!”

“I’ve been studying saxophone with Jeff for a little over a year and a half now. In that time I’ve grown greatly as a saxophone player, musician, and improviser. Jeff does a great job of breaking things down to an understandable level while still keeping sight of the big picture – saying something important during a solo, and saying it in a way that keeps the audience interested. Lesson materials are always challenging enough to stay busy while never being too overwhelming. Jeff is a talented musician and teacher who knows what makes jazz, jazz. Anyone who is willing to put the work in and dedicate themselves will experience a lot of growth and learning with him.”

“I moved to Colorado from California and needed to find a saxophone teacher. I had one in California that I thought was very good and was hoping to find someone similar in Colorado. I searched the internet and after hours of going through instructors in my area I decided to try Jeff out. Jeff has been exceptional as my instructor. He is a top rate professional musician and also a top rate teacher. I told him what I wanted to learn and he has helped me improve immensely over a short time. My teacher in California had left out some basic instruction that was critical and I should have been learning, and Jeff realized that and made sure he had me practicing and learning what I had missed. I really enjoy all the musical theory along with the actual playing and practicing we do. Jeff is definitely the best teacher I could have ever found. All bases are covered for my learning and it’s making a big difference in my playing ability. I would recommend Jeff to anyone young or old, beginner or advanced student as Jeff will help anyone improve your musical abilities.”
